Birthday Party games are probably the most important element of a child’s Birthday party. It’s what makes the whole Birthday celebration enjoyable. You can have the best decor with the biggest cake, but it still won’t be a party without some games. So, let’s take a look at some of the best Birthday party games for kids
1:Egg and Spoon Race
Some trends never die. In fact, you probably remember this game from when you were a child. Line all of the kids up and give them a teaspoon with an uncooked egg on it. Mark the finish line and tell the kids to start the race. If your egg breaks or falls off, you are disqualified.
2: Open the Gates
This was one of my favorite Birthday party games when I was a child. Choose one child to stand in the middle and let the rest of the children stand behind a line. The child in the mirror has to choose someone to open the gates. If the middle child manages to touch his friend before he reaches the other end, they both become gate defenders. Otherwise, if the child makes it to the other end without getting touched, he can shout “open the gates” which is the signal for all the kids to start running to the other end of the grass. The gatekeeper has to touch as many kids as he can to turn them into gatekeepers.
3: Marco Polo
This is another one of the party games that have been played for decades. All you’ll need is a pool, a swimsuit, and a warm and sunny day. The child who is “on” has to close their eyes and try the find their friends in the pool by shouting Marco and swimming to wherever they hear their friends shout Polo.
4: Musical Statues and Musical Chairs
If you like music, you’re going to love these Birthday party games. You can play with chairs in which case it’s musical chairs or without chair in which case it’s musical statues. The dj will play a song a pause it at a random time. If you are playing musical chairs, the last one to find a chair is out. Otherwise, if you are playing musical statues, anyone who moves while the music is playing is out.
5: Treasure hunt
Treasure hunts all always a great way to throw the perfect Birthday celebration. You can keep it short and sweet by simply hiding sweets all around the garden and telling your kids to find them. Or you can set up clue cards with riddles and maps to make the game even more exciting. Birthday party games don’t get much better than this!
