Happy Birthday to you is not always the right thing to say on someone’s Birthday Bad Birthdays are more common that you might think. Birthdays are supposed to be a day of celebration. However, sometimes things don’t go according to plan and you end up having a bad Birthday. Don’t worry too much. This happens to everyone at some point of their lives. So if you have experienced one of these bad Birthdays, we are here to put your mind at ease by providing a few examples of bad Birthdays others have experienced.
1: The lone ranger
When it comes to bad Birthdays, nothing is worse that inviting all of your friends just for none of them to show up. This is something that has personally happened to me and I was left with all of the cake, snacks and other arrangements that I spent a hefty amount of money on and nobody to share it with. Talk about a slap in the face. I guess this is how you realize who your true friends are. This calls for a happy Birthday to me. Not Happy Birthday to you.
2: Death at a Birthday- When NOT to say Happy Birthday to you
When it comes down to the peak of bad birthdays, this one takes the cake. Imagine building up the excitement of your upcoming Birthday just for a loved one to die on the same day it arrives. If someone dies on your Birthday, it will most likely turn your Birthday into a tragedy and instead of building good memories, your Birthday will be haunted with memories of your loved one who passed on.
3: The Murphy’s Law of Bad Birthdays
Can you imagine planning a range of exciting activities and snacks for your Birthday just for everything to go wrong? Believe it or not, this happens to more people than you might think. The jumping castle doesn’t arrive. You drop your expensive cake on your floor. Your guests show up an hour late for the party. Perhaps, your decor order is only due to arrive two days after the party and none of your friends enjoy the activities you have planned for them. This leaves you in a room that is filled with boredom and awkward silence.
4: Office Bad Birthdays
Birthdays are supposed to be an exciting day of the year where you are celebrated. Unfortunately for most of us, work and school don’t stop for Birthdays. When I was younger, my Birthday always fell during exam season and as I got older I realized that I would have to work on every Birthday for the rest of my life. Donuts in the office or cupcakes at school might lessen the damage of these bad Birthdays. However, the Birthday will still be a bad one.
5: RIP Bad Birthdays
The worst of the bad birthdays you can experience is dying on your own Birthday. Consequently you probably won’t see it coming but your Birthday will end in mourning. On top of that, you’ll miss out on the Birthday celebration that your friends have planned for you. What a bummer.
